Recommended Reading for Understanding Cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrency investment is the buzzword today and I got numerous suggestions from my friends and family to look into it. I went through videos of Youtubers who explain how crypto is the future, and presented what blockchain is and how it works. But no one ever answered the real question- WHY BLOCKCHAIN, and why will it even work? This one is one of the best books I have ever read. This book starts with explaining the concept of 'currency', how cryptocurrencies can ever have any value, and how blockchain actually resolves the most common issues one can expect. By the end I was convinced that the domain is complex, a bit risky (in my opinion) and hard for me to bet on at this stage, particularly considering the geo-economics.
